-
2. Inventory and control
A systematic register helps museums keep inventories of their collections, track the movement and condition of items and keep proper records of them.

3. Research
The Register can be a valuable source of information for researchers and scholars. It holds detailed data on the origin, history, condition and other characteristics of museum items, which supports research and spreads knowledge about cultural heritage.
-
4. Protection against illicit trafficking
An official register helps fight illicit trafficking in cultural property. It allows state authorities to respond quickly to attempts to export or sell museum items, preventing smuggling and illegal trade.
-
5. Promotion and information
The Register lets everyone explore the Museum Fund of Ukraine, learn about its culture and discover interesting things in any city and museum of the country.

The Register gives the public access to important information about the Museum Fund of Ukraine, as well as about stolen museum items and cultural property returned to Ukraine.
