Description
On a round plinth whose surface imitates uneven ground, a blind middle-aged man is shown playing the lira. He sits with his legs tucked under him, dressed in a svyta coat, wide trousers and patched boots. On the ground to his left lies his cap, to his right a bowl for alms. On the right, behind the lira player, by a wattle fence, stands a boy guide in a svyta coat and a peaked cap with a bag over his shoulder, resting his chin on a long staff. Along the edge of the plinth, on the ground, is an inscription in the clay: FAB. K. F. WERFEL. SCULP. POZEN.
